Choir to French

Yesterday I went to the high school to get a physical done so I can do sports next year. I saw a few people I knew but there weren't every many people there at all. The lady from the guidance office was there so my dad asked her about changing from choir to French. She said that was a great idea because there are going to be LOTS of choir people next year and not enough French people. She said if I changed out of choir, she owuld give me candy. That's not why I changed though. I changed so choir wouldn't be so crowded, my dad said French would be a lot better for me, and I'm not doing choir in high school so it wouldn't hlep me for high school. I really really really wanted to be in choir, but I really really really wanted to be in French too. I guess I'm going to have a lot of homework and be lonely when all the choir people are gone next year. Oh well. I'll live. Vivian and I will stand together! But she's doing Spanish, not French. OH WELL!!!!!!!

Social Studies group

I haven't been posting in awhile because I either don't have time or I think of something to write about away from the computer and then when I get to my blog, I can't remember what I was going to say! Okay. For Social Studies, I am Lalika (LOL!) of Megara. What kind of name is Lalika?!? Neha, Jacob D., and Andrew L. are in my group. It's a pretty good group. We got second place on our poster and second place on our quiz so we were, as of yesterday, tied with Kelly, Jacob B, Sean, and Morgan from Sparta for first place! I hope we win. We probably won't though. Our temple thing sucked. It was really really sturdy though. We were playing catch with it and nothing happened. Very careful catch, but still. We weren't handing it to each other, but we weren't chucking it.

Nicknames

Preeti recently declared that my nickname is Oreo. Her's is fudge, Liz's is whipped cream, Julia's is sprinkles, and I think Geethika's is ice cream. I will never be able to remember these yummy nicknames! No!

Math and Band

So today, I went to math and Mr. Scates wasn't there yet. That happens a lot. But usually he gets there in time. Today we had to wait like, 15 minutes for him. We were just standing in the hallway and talking. Then he came after a long time. So I got to miss part of math class today! Yay! On Friday, we had a sub in band. People were being crazy and acting up. Kyle and Josh switched instruments and switched places! Josh is bad at the clarinet. I don't really have anything else to say.

Soccer Games

Today we had a soccer game. It didn't work out so well. They had some really tough girls that were really good at taking the ball away and the had really strong kicks. The score was like 5 to 1 (Yay April!). I really wanted to win. Oh well. Elena and Kate weren't there because of Honors Band. Last week were victorious!!! The score was 7 to 0. It would have been 8 to 0, but the second goal I made was off-sides. It was the last goal but it didn't count. The first one I made did count though. Yay. I felt bad for the other team because they didn't have any subs! We had two subs. They had to play the whole game!

Memory

Okay so I changed the song AGAIN! Sorry but I just love this song. I kind of forgot about it for awhile.

Social Studies

Yup. You guessed it. This is about Social Studies. I love Social Studies. It's not completely the subject. I mostly like our class. They're hilarious! We talk about the weirdest things and do the strangest things. Yesterday in Social Studies, I had to present my poster. For some reason, Bobbie wanted to hold up posters for everybody so I let her. I was the last person to present in that hour. Speaking of Bobbie, one time Mrs. DeKatch had an example of an exception to the one-child policy in China. She said, "Let's pretend that that Bobbie married Susie and had a kid." All of us were just like, "WHOA!". It was funny. That's really all that was important about that example. So today in Social Studies (I'm skipping around a lot I know) the last four people presented their project, we reviewed what we knew about China and played T.V. News Game for the next half hour or so. My group was Ashwin, Mike, and Jacob B.!!! They wasted a lot of time fighting over the little white board and marker. It was annoying. The only answers I knew that my group didn't know (that I can remember) was what the four-book saga by Stephenie Meyer was called (Twilight. Duh. Ashwin tried to get me to write Trinity!) and that Chanel No. 5 was perfume. I sneezed really weird today. That was random. Speaking of random, one time during Social Studies (duh) Sean suddenly looked up at me and said, "253.". It was random. One time when we had a sub, Bobbie and Morgan were eating paper. So weird. The last time we had a sub, we learned about an earthquake. There were some pandas in the slideshow. Jacob B. said he hated pandas because they attacked people. The sub said that little things were cute once and Sean starting dancing. Then Jacob B. said, "Sean, you would be cute if you cut your hair." Whoa. Then Bobbie said, "Now Sean knows what NOT to do." We have a very strange class.

Ice Box

The song is Ice Box by OMARION now. It's a great song from last year. I choose it because the other ones that I wanted either didn't work or there weren't any results for that song. You can now pause the song! Yay!

Blog Songs

You know what's really annoying about having songs on blogs? If you're already listening to music, you have to listen to two songs at once. Like I was listening to How Far We've come and Preeti's Indiana Jones song and it just didn't work. But I couldn't stop Preeti's music. There should be a way to pause the music if you don't feel like listening to it. And if you're looking at two different blogs, it doesn't work either. Oh well. I have a song too.

Woot Woot!

Okay so I am DONE with my China research paper and project. Completely done! Maybe cuz I did a poster and it was really easy to find research but whatever. I don't care. I'm done! So relieved. Now the only thing I have to worry about is whether I got a good grade or not. Please, please, please, give me good grades teachers.

Sandstorm

Okay so I changed the song again! Maybe I'll change it back to Wake Up Call but for now it's Sandstorm by Darude. It's interesting.

Dogs, sister, bubbles!

After the soccer game, my sister, dog, and I went across the street to see the cute little doggy. Then we played with bubbles. I blew them and my sister popped them. Then I wanted to go inside and my sister started screaming. She wanted to play with the bubbles, draw with chalk, and go rollerskating (or ice skating if you're Allie). She even tried to block the door so I couldn't get inside. Silly thing.

Soccer

Today I played soccer. I love soccer. I always start the game out though. It's weird. Every single game I'm out to start with. Today I played right and left forward. The other team only had 8 players so they didn't get any subs. Out team however, had three subs so I got switched in and out during the first half. At the second half though, Andrea got hurt and Kaelyn went to the place where she volunteers so we only had one sub. I didn't go out for the whole second half. We played really well. Kate scored three goals, April scored two, and Summer and I each scored one. I almost got two goals but the second one was offsides so it didn't count. Actually, I don't think it was. Caitlin (I think that's how you spell it) kicked it past the defenders toward the goal and I was on the side that was away from them. Then I went past them and scored. But they called it as offsides so it didn't count. Oh well. We still one. A couple times, someone was cheering for me. I didn't recognize their voice and I couldn't look so I have no idea who it was. Weird. After the game, I pet some dogs and then we went home.

Rollerblading

Yesterday I went rollerblading. I hadn't gone rollerblading outside of EDRU's in years so it was hard at first to get used to. After awhile, I think I obtained a speed slightly faster than walking pace. lol. At least I was a ton faster than my sister who was rollerskating for the first time. It was fun and I think I have almost mastered the brake.

New Song

Now the song is Wake Up Call by Maroon 5. Love them! It takes awhile for the words to come, but it's still a good song.

Space Camp

In fifth grade we went to Space Camp. It was really fun. Not everyone in our grade went since it was during school. Only the people who wanted to. But everyone should have. It was really fun. On the way to the airport, I rode with Hayden and we watched a space movie. I was so excited to go to space camp. I think the people in my sleeping room were Summer, Michaela, Amaris, and Natasha. I don't remember very well, so that might not be right, but oh well. My team was the Bean team. I think I remember that Robbie, Zach, Hayden, Carly, Eli, and Kim were on my team. We drew a picture of some beans for our flag thing. It was hot because it was in Huntsville, Alabama. We did simutarions like the one were you sit in a chair thing and it spins you around in every direction possible. Some girls got a rash from the straps or something. We also did one were we got in this harness and then we bounced. It was like walking on the moon except with more gravity. We made these rockets, but Space Camp had recently decided not to have any fire so we couldn't launch them. They were kind of confusing to build. We did make these paper rockets and fired them. The meals came on trays. We ate sandwichs and chips and stuff like that. If you wanted to, you could buy Dip N Dots for $3. I bought starbursts and once I got Dip N Dots. I remember that we went to bed around ten and woke up around 7. I was really tired and it felt really early when we got up. There were no counselors in our room. People would just come in to check that our room was clean, to tell us it was time to go to sleep, and tell us it was time to get up. One day we did this activity where some of us would go down to "Mars" where there were some red rocks. We would make some observations and go back up. Some people had to stay in the top part the whole time. I don't know what they did. If you were going to Mars, you had to wait for the light to turn green. One time we did a flight simulation. One time I was with Berkleigh (I don't know if that's how you spell it) and we had to build this one thing before the space shuttle left without us and we got burned up in the atmosphere. It was hard because we were sitting on this thing and we couldn't walk around. We were wearing these gloves that made it hard to move and do anything with our hands. We didn't succeed so Michaela and everyone left us in space. The second time, I was a commander. I don't remember anything about that except seeing earth on the little t.v. screen. I remember it was confoozling because we had this script and you couldn't hear people and they kept messing up and people would forget to say their lines so it was hard. One time, we did a scavenger hunt in this museum type thing. I worked with Summer. In the same musuem type thing, we had to take notes or something, and I didn't have a pencil so I tried using my finger nail and my shoelace. That didn't work so well. Finally the chaperone person noticed and let me borrow a pencil. I had to copy the notes that I missed. There was a rock climbing wall at Space Camp. I did the easy part and got to the top. There were rides. For some of the rides, since I got motion sick, I sat out with Zach and Robbie. I did do that one that goes up and down though. I don't remember what it was called. It was like that one ride that goes slowly up and then suddenly drops except it would go higher and it would go up and down. And up and down. There was another ride that I think was called the triple G. It was in this circular thing and you strap yourself to the walls and it goes roung and round really fast. It was fun. On one of the last days of Camp, we played Space Bowl. My question was something like, "What sandwich did (enter that astronaut's name here) eat in space?" The answer was corned-beef and I got it right! There were lots of questions about things we had learned those past 5-6 days. Our team won! Everyone who went to space camp got a shirt. I don't know where mine is anymore. On the plane ride home, Summer and I thought we would do homework, but we ate the whole way home. It was about two hours. We ate our lunch, then we ate Pringles and we ate sour straws. We were very surprised that we had only eaten for the whole ride!

soccer, rain, weird dream

Yesterday I went jogging in the rain. Not so fun. It was only sprinkling when I started, but when I got back home, it was practically pouring. I had another weird dream last night. I was at this dance (I think it was for cottilion even though I don't do cottilion anymore) and people paired you up with someone and you danced the whole night with them. I got paired with Hayden. When we started dancing, we quickly realized that I was wearing the wrong shoes they were white with high heels and two straps. They kept on falling off and I would stumble. I was really upset so I went to the bathroom and washed my face. That made me feel better. When I got done, Hayden was waiting for me. We decided to sit on a bench in the ballroom and talk instead of dancing. After a little while, we started laughing really loudly at something. Everyone in the room turned and stared at us. We decided to go into the punch room where we could talk without bothering anyone. So that's what we did for the rest of the dance I guess. Yesterday in the morning, we had a soccer game. It was really cold out and the grass was really wet. We tried our hardest (I hope) and tied the game. I didn't score any goals, but I tried to. I got close a couple of times. After the game, Summer, Andrea, and I played with Summer's puppy Oliver. He's so cute! He has grown a lot. He is a golden retriever and black lab mix, but he looks more like a black lab. For the rest of the day I worked on China and checked my email and stuff. Not a very fun afternoon. Oh well. Ta ta for now.

yum, yum, yum.

For dinner I had corn and biscuits. I had to cut all the corn off the cob and it was time consuming. The biscuits were all warm and soft and yummy. I had two of them. One one of them I put the yummy combination of butter and honey. One the other one, I put on blueberry jam and it tasted like blueberry pie! So so so good! My dog is being very naughty lately. He jumps on my bed whenever I leave him in my room alone (which happens a lot), he pees in the house sometimes, he barks a lot, and he jumps up on people. Today he got some corn. He kept on wanting to eat it on the carpet, but we had to bring him back into the kitchen. He can't eat corn on the carpet. He looked silly carrying a corn cob around in his mouth.

yay!

Thanks to Andy, I fugured out how to add a song on here! Right now it's Move Along by the All American Rejects. So anyway, it rained today during our gym hour! It rained! It didn't rain for the morning hours so they had to go outside. When I say "it rained" what exactly is "it"? The sky? That's confoozling. So it (whatever it is) rained starting with our hour. So some of Mr. Bartmen's class had to go outside and get the lacrosse stuff and stuff. Why couldn't we have done it? We had to stay inside and run. In circles. They didn't even look wet when they came back inside. Maybe they ran really fast. Because of the rain, it was really hot and humid in the gym. Yuck. At least we didn't have to go outside. And we didn't have to play tennis. Mr. Bartmen's class got to play dodgeball. When I was going to lunch, Natasha's mom told Paul not to be clumsy with his food like yesterday. It was kind of funny. There were fries, Bosco sticks, sauce, gushers and his drink all over the floor. I felt kind of bad for him when he had to clean it up all by himself. When I walked home, it was still raining! It was pouring! This time I wasn't happy about the rain. At least Martina and Anna shared their umbrellas with Summer and I. They were smart to bring them. And nice to share.

new colors!

I kept the layout the same, but now it has different colors and it's bootiful!

Happy May Day!

Yeah. Today's May Day. I think. Today we ran the mile. I have a new best time! 7:33! Yay! Okay. Last night I had another weird dream. This one's not very long. I was running a race on the beach. For some reason, I was against a bunch of boys. Maybe the girls were farther back. Maybe I was just running with the boys on accident. I don't know. All of the boys were ones that I had seen before but didn't know their names. I didn't know any of their names! That's weird. Anyway, I was running really close to the water and I was, for some reason, in front of all of them. Not by a lot though. It was weird that it was a meet (I just knew that even though we weren't on a track and no one was watching) but there was only our team there. So I was running along, and then I fell into a hole filled with yellow Play-Doh! I was sitting in the Play-Doh and one of the boys won! Suddenly a bunch of people appeared and they were all mad that I didn't win. Then the dream was over. I didn't have track today, so I went to ART CLUB! I haven't been there in suuuuuuuuuch a long time. There was Jazz Band and then track. I did stuff. Yeah.
