winter break so far

on friday we went sledding and stuff. that was fun. it was going to just be grace, michaela, emily and i but ryan and eric were there so we hung out with them. it was fun to go down the slides. i was buried in the snow! we went on the new wave thing (fun) and had a snow ball battle. grace and i didn't have a very good fort but oh well. when we were leaving, we went back to the hill and apparently andy thought that we went there but did't sled... lol. then we walked to michaela's house and had hot chocolate and played apples to apples until we got bored. then we played this one computer game... then grace's mom was being all confusing but she finally picked us up to go to MANGO'S! that was fun. except i was confused. my enchilada had weird cheese. then we all went to blockbuster's and picked out a movie. then some people came over for a sleepover. we watched two movies! after summer left my house, i only had one hour to shower and get dressed to go tobaganing with julia. when we got to the place, we found out that tobaganing was closed! so we rented tubes and sledded. when we got to the sledding hill, eddie and ashwin were there. so that was fun. ashwin and eddie weren't there together so it was weird. ashwin called eddie to see if he wanted to go sledding and eddie said he couldn't because he was going with his family. and they went to the same place! then eddie's family left because eddie was having a sleepover with ashwin anyway.
it got really hot. it was so hard to pull the sled up the hill! my arms are still sore. then julia and i wanted to go down on one sled. we couldn't get it to move so we asked aswhin to push us. that was fun. when we got back up my sled was still there. we wanted to go down together again so we asked eddie to push us. that time when we went back up, my sled was gone!!!!! oh noes!
eddie and ashwin left and julia and i went down one more time. i was reeeeeally tired. julia and i watched the people fixing the tobaning and then i realized i forgot my coat! so then i went back and we went to the lodge for hot chocolate. when we got to the place where you return your sleds, eddie and aswhin were still there. they were waiting for the person to come get their sleds. then we all just decided to go in. we drank yummy hot chocolate. then everyone left and julia ad i and julia's mom went shopping at a store called kean's. that's where she got us christmas presents. i helped julia pick out a vera bradly bag for her sister and then julia and i helped me pick out a present for my dad. then they took me home.
the next day, i went ice skating. that was fun but there was blood all over the ice! it was gross. my sister is learning how to skate backwards which i can't even do.

p.s. merry christmas! happy holidays! happy new year's (which i'm not going to be here for D:)

I am very sad. :'(

i am hating life so much right now. i don't even care that anyone can read this. i just don't care. i cried yesterday because my dad was being really mean and hurting me with his hands and with his words and then later he acted like nothing had happened. he took the door off of this room. it was really weird. so now there's no door... it's so unprivate. :'( when i was practicing yesterday, it was awkward cuz usually i close the door so no one can hear me.
and my friends are not that happy either. some of them are fighting and some of them jsut aren't having the best week.
and anqi's leaving tomorrow! i think i might just start crying about that... no... the last time i got to see her was at the homecoming game and i barely talked to her then! and max is leaving! i want to be friends with max but he thinks i'm creepy... it's so unfair!
and then my mom said that she can't get a refund and i have to go to camp! when i went there in the summer i didn't really like it but now it's going to be in the winter with SNOW!!!!!!!! EEEEEEEW! so i'm going to be gone for NEW YEAR'S! i love new year's!!!!!!! grrrrrrrr. i really hope we're not sleeping in tents. that would be cold... that camp was really bad. don't ask why i signed up for it... just don't ask. i don't know. and i'm going to get back the day before break ends so i won't have any time to recover from camp! or unpack! or anything! you guys have NO IDEA how much i don't want to go to this camp! save me! kidnap me! anything!
and this weekend we have a lot of homework kinda. i don't get the social studies test at all so i'm probably going to fail. i think we have a french test tomorrow but i'm not sure! i have a lot of math homework that i don't get. i have to practice and write my dbe and 3 memoirs and read uglies and UUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!
YEAH!
and i have to do christmas shopping and i don't feel like it! and i have to get my picture taken today!
so lots of little things are making life horrible.
but going to camp is definately the worst.
then there's my friends are unhappy... but idk. maybe they'll be better by monday.
save me from camp!

twilight and thanksgiving and all

okay so i didn't fail my s.s. test. yay! i got a 94% *does a happy dance*

yesterday we went shoppin and it was fun. i was sad because i needed clothes but i didn't actually buy anything. :(

twilight was uber fantastical! that's my new word. it's so long! i don't know many long words... okay so i thought twilight was really good. we (sometimes it was like, the whole theater, and sometimes just us) laughed at some parts that weren't supposed to be funny. like the faces that edward made. so i guess that's why some people say robert pattinson can't act. but i thought the sparkly edward part was pretty good considering people don't actually sparkle! at the end it didn't seem like it was the end at all. the credits came and i was like WHAT?!? it's over!?!? it just like showed victoria's face and then ended... it was weird. but other than that it was good.

happy thanksgiving everyone! i actually celebrated last sunday because my parents thought we were going to holland earlier so they started thawing the turkey and stuff and so they didn't want it to go bad so my mom just cooked it and we ate it and pretended it was thanksgiving. i had blueberry pie from grand traverse pie company! yum! i like pie. except pumkin pie. and key lime pie. and rhubarb pie. and that's about it. cherry pie is okay. the rest are really good. except mud pies! EW! but ya know. the edible ones!

random thoughts

when i was walking to school this morning (earlier than usual so i could sign up for the field trip) i saw a croc foot print in the snow. i was wondering why people would wear crocs when it's so cold out. unless it was the furry kind. a little after that, i saw a duck fly out of the sewage pond river thing and i was thinking "OMG! ducks can fly?" i didn't know that.

a couple days ago if you were sitting at my table at lunch this is what you would hear.
Grace: i'm excited
Ryan: i don't get it
Gabrielle: i dropped my fork
Melissa: sail awaaaaaaaaay.
none of that had anything to do with anything else. i don't know why grace was excited. i know what ryan didn't get. but it sounded funny if you heard all of that. gabrielle was laughing and i asked her and that's what she said.

omg the ss test was soooooooooo hard! i think i failed. i hope i got at least a C!

play and stuff

i'm so sad that the play is over! i'm going to miss everyone! but now i'll get more sleep and i'll have more time, so... it's good that way.

at the saturday performance, after intermission during the time when we didn't have to go one for a reeeeeeally long time, i had to go to the bathroom really really really bad. maddy went with me. when we were in the hall, james was done with his costume change. he was being immature and was blocking my way to the bathroom. i was like, "james! i really have to GO!!!" and i kept saying this over and over. then the rest of the royal navy came out (thomas, hayden, josh, josh, and caban) and i was still saying that and it was embarrassing. finally i got past him. when maddy and i were washing our hands, caban was in the hall and he was like, "what are you guys doing in the women's bathroom?" and we were like, "why wouldn't we be in this one?" and he was like "james why are you in the girls' bathroom???" and i was like, "it's not james! it's maddy and melissa!" and he was like, "yeah right" and he WALKED IN! and i was like caban! what are you doing in the girls' bathroom? and he was like whoa! melissa you sounded exactly like james. and james really was in this hallway. it was weeeeeeeeird.

is it just me or is caban nicer this year? last year he was all like, stay awaaaaaaaaaay from me! and this year during the play he kept coming up and talking to us.

and on saturday night in the dressing rooms, every time sarah and i looked at each other, we would burst out laughing and we didn't know why but we couldn't stop. but sarah looked so funny when she was laughing! i just had to laugh!

the play was sooooo much fun! thanks for all of you who came to see it! this year i got FLOWERS! omg! from vivian and julia and lizzy! thank you soooo much! but i'm really sad that the play is over. i'm gonna miss everyone.

on sunday summer took like 200 pictures! she really likes taking pictures and i don't really but i like having pictures and she doesn't like being in pictures so it all works out.

emily and michaela and natasha got awards! i was totally expecting michaela's and emily's cuz they were so awesome, but natasha's was a surprise.

on friday summer and maddy and i went to culver's with their cousin olivia. we were just like i really hope people we know are there! and max and monique and andrea were there! we really freaked max out. we were like "MAAAAAAX!!! HIIII!! GOOD JOB!" and he was like "hi good job." yeah. we barely knew monique and andrea but we were laughing and talking like we were alll besties. :) so fun.

today was drug awareness day! i actually like the movies they show. they're really sad though. pretty cool for school movies i say. and the classes were shorter so that's always good.

omg the trimester's almost over! this was a reeeeeeeeeally long post. sorry about that. i just had a lot to say.

halloween

it turned out grace was wendy. it was pretty awesome. she went and bought a blue nightgown that day. the weather was soooooooooooooooo nice!!!!!!! it was absolutely perfect. our group ran half of it so at the end of the night, i was actually hot. i was wearing a cami, a tank top, a t-shirt, my dress and leggings and i thought i was going to be freezing. after trick-or-treating, we went to summer's house and played. i ate some potato soup! we played camoflouge and i was pretty good at it. we kept calling the other group and they said they were on their way to kaylas, but when we went there, the other group (sarah, sarah, emily, and michaela) said they had been there for awhile. it was just confusing. so at the sleep over we watched the office and played truth or dare and sleepover-y stuff. it was funny how people liked to text on my phone so much. so we did a lot of texting. we stayed up until about 2:30 or so and woke up at 9. we were good people and donated a lot of candy.

yesterday, we were going to go to ukai with julia, grace, michaela, vivian, and graces mom, but when we got there, we couldn't get seats until 8:30! so we went to another japanese place called sansu. it took fooooooooreeeeeeeever to get our food. but we were entertained with eachother. lolololol. grace's mom lololol. it took us a really really really long time to decide what to get. grace and i shared two rolls. i know one of them was a california roll. our waiter guy was awesome! julia some how got reeeeeeeeeeeeally hyper. it was so unlike her! it was really weird. but since we didn't get the spots we wanted, the hostess person gave us this really yummy thing. there was ice cream and chocolate and whipped cream and fried bananas. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. we took lots of pics on the ride home. julia looked funny in ALL of them. i looked good in almost all the pictures. it was weird. ya so laters!

busy busy busy.

ya so this week i was reeeeeeeeeeeally busy. on monday i had play practice till five and then the pumkin carving/stage decorating party at 6. on tuesday i had a band concert. on wednesday i had play practice till five and right after play practice i went to the basketball game. i missed the b team game but i heard we won. we won the a team game too. it was pretty boring. i got home pretty late. today i wasn't that busy. i went to the dance that ended at 4:30. it was really fun and they played like, all my favortite songs except i'm yours and crush and ya. then julia came over for like, ten minutes, but i have like no homework. it's pretty weird. i've been bored. wishing for something to do besides early homework. tomorrow is...........HALLOWEEN!!!!! yay! i'm tinkerbell! julia's peter pan! summer's captain hook! preeti's my minion! gracie's......idk. lol sorry. ok so ya. we're going trick-or-treating. then sleepover. with other group. ya. my parents are in italy now. they missed my band concert and halloween! :( they're also going to miss conferences, but i'm not really happy or sad about that. oh oh oh! today i got to sleep in! i woke up at like 9:30! actually i didn't get to. i just did anyway. i guess i was really tired. so i missed language arts and band. not too important. yayaya. cya!

idk

so yeah. i, like a lot of people, haven't posted in awhile. i don't know why. i just didn't have anything to say (still don't) and i keep forgettting and i'm preeeeeeetty busy. but last year i did track and i had a lot of homework and i still had time to blog. oh yeah. last year i didn't have that "no staying up past 9 even if you're not done with your homework!" rule. my parents say if i'm not done with my homework, i should get up early and do it. but i still get the same amount of sleep as if i stay up. last night i didn't fall asleep until midnight. it made me mad. then i had to get up at six to eat a "good breakfast" (i was still hungry around the usual time tho :( ), take a shower, find a calculator and do the L.A. flashcards that it turned out Mrs. cesar didn't even check in. this morning was horrible biking weather. it was dark and kinda cold (not really tho) and reeeeeeeeeeally windy and raining and there were leaves everywhere and it was slippery and yeah. it was bad. that's about all i have to say.

i haven't posted in awhile

so i was watching seasame street (i don't remember when but it was sometime this month) and David Beckam was on!!! it made me soooo happy! if i hadn't been watching seasame street right then, i wouldn't never seen elmo ask david beckam to play soccer with him! i love david beckam. i'm probably spelling his name wrong tho. oh well. yesterday i got home the launch of our magazine. it was really fun. some people didn't get along (not saying any names) but it wasn't that bad. we did sleepover stuff. walked around the lake, went to hiawatha, watched 27 dresses, watched part of the devil wears prada, did eachother's hair, and played games and talked. i think i went to sleep around 7:30. and woke up around 10:30. oh yeah and we ate a ton of candy! and cookies! and brownies! and brownie cookies! and grapes! and watched part of charleston! and read our magazines! I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY OF SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i wrote 96 pages in my notebook and i'm still trying to catch up. i'm still talking about girl scout camp. tomorrow i'm doing the mackinac (sp?) bridge walk and BANG! SUMMER'S OVER! NOOOOOOOOOOO!

Blue Lake

i am back from blue lake. i was in the white band. oh well. my dad says it was because i didn't practice all summmer. that's probably true. but i didn't move after reauditions. our counselor was awesome. she always gave us 20 minutes of flashlight time and let us talk during it(except the last night when we had unlimited flashlight time as long as we were quiet. i stayed up until 12 that might). she also played music for us to sleep and wake up to. she didn't make us get up until 6:30 unless we wanted to take a shower. then we would get up at 6. she let us pratice in our cabin. one time there were like, five people playing our instruments! she let jamie straighten half of her hair so that she was half a clown and half a normal person. she didn't make us clean but we did a little cleaning anyway. still, we were last almost every lunch, but we didn't care. she was just so easy-goeing and nice and funny. i am going to miss her and all of my other camp friends. we got to have santa as our director. he gave us candy. he was really strange! we got annoyed because he stopped us so much when we were playing. a lot of the songs we played for the concert, we had never played all the way through! we did okay anyway. i will miss blue lake!

Friday, August 1, 2008

hello again.

this is the absolute longest i have ever went without posting! so i went to camp and came back. then my parents said i couldn't have my computer back until i cleaned the counter in the bathroom, vacuumed the bathroom, cleaned my hamster's cage, cleaned my room, unpacked from camp, did the laundry, put those clothes away, and packed for new hampshire and maine. i made my room a lot better but it's still not clean and i got really close to finishing unpacking. but the rest i finished. so i got my computer back but had to use the time to go through my 80-some emails. it took forever. during my no computer time, vivian came and slept over. we ate strawberry ice cream at midnight. fun! the next day, we biked to QD with allie. when we were trying to leave, allie was throwing a fit and saying she didn't want to go get ice cream. it was weird. we finally forced her to go. i rode on the two person bike on the way there. vivian and i got two scoops and allie got one. all of those only cost like, $2 and i was confused, but i didn't question the person. vivian tried the two person bike on the way back and didn't do so well. she screamed all the way home. allie was screaming with joy and laughing. the bike looked like it was really close to tipping over. it was scary to watch. a few days later i went to new hampshire and maine and got home yesterday. my mom was ecstatic about the l l bean stores. i got sun glasses, a jacket, a backpack and flip flops. on the plane ride home i sat next to a girl who was an unacompanied minor. she was nice but she seemed nervous.

happy 4th of july! yesterday.

yesterday was the forth of july (obviously)! i went to the fireworks with my grandparents, mom, dad, sister, cousin, uncle, aunt, other cousin and other uncle. my younger cousin was going crazy becuz he didn't take his medicine becuz his parents didn't want him to fall asleep during the fireworks. he climbed a tree the second he got out of the car and then he threw a bug at someone he didn't know and then he was just running around eveywhere. i took my sister on those inflatable things. she said she wanted to do chaos so i said i would go first and when i came out she was still there! she got scared! after waiting in line all that time! then we did a moon bounce thing and went to see grace. she and some other girls were playing silly string tag. but we stopped becuz it was ruining people's clothes. allie didn't like the silly string. after the fireworks, we waited a really long time for grandpa to come with his car. i was so tired that i was sleeping on the ground with a blanket! that's so unlike me. we got home around 12:30 and ate sandwichs and guacamole and chips. i was starving. at the place, i was freezing even though i was wearing long pants and my blue lake sweat shirt. i think this post is long enough.

-Melissa

it turns out that we didn't have any fruit (that i could find) besides some underripe bananas, moldy raspberries, and wrinkly blueberries. :( so i had to make do with some carrots. i was going to eat some celery too but it was rubbery so i put it in the fridge to try and harden it.

-Melissa

ice cream for breakfast

guess what i had for breakfast! yup, the title says it all. ice cream! it was strawberry ice cream. mmmmmmmm. i was watching a video on youtube about a dog eating ice cream so then i really wanted some. now i feel really bad about it. i think i'll go get some fruit or somethin'.

another thingy for my list-y thingy

12.: At Leah's school, they're not allowed to say that sucks. in stead they say that vacuums because a vacuum sucks stuff up.

-Melissa

My List-y thingy

I'm going to explain my list-y thingy on the side.
1.: Today in Dimensions in math, we had to build something out of blocks behind a folder and then give directions to our partner and try and get them to make it. in one group a girl said to do something with the "thing" or something and the other girl said, "I don't know what "thing" is!"
2.: At the girl scout sleepover in our tent, Grace's mom sniffed because she was pretending to be a deer (long story) and I said, "What's that sniffing noise?" Yes, in that case I am the weird random person.
3.: Something that Summer said. I don't remember where or when.
4.: Something Sean asked before we did our Olympics.
5.: In math at Dimensions, we were learning about Venn Diagrams (zzzzz) and we were comparing fruits. Oranges and apples don't have anything in common so they get separate circles. If one circle is apple and another one is grapes, the middle section is grapples. A lady walked into the room, saw what was written on the board and said, "ooo, fruit salad!"
6.: This is something that Stacy and Mike said. Mike said it completely randomly in Social Studies, just out of the blue, but with Stacy, we were talking before Dimensions about stuff we like for breakfast. I said Cheerios and milk and Stacy said, "I like bacon."
7.: One time my mom and I saw this boy and he had long shaggy hair or something so that's what she said.
8.: I was talking to this girl at Dimensions named Katlyn and she said she was friends with Troy Boyd and when they were little, they played dress up and he always dressed up like a girl. lol
9.: Katlyn, the girl from Dimensions made a flamingo in Ceramics and she forgot to put a hole in the head so she was praying that it didn't blow up since it didn't have a hole. It turns out that it didn't get fired yet.
10.: A bee from the HEIFER thing was on the floor or something so Mrs. DeKatch put it on Michigan. Someone in our class asked, "Why is there a bee on Michigan?" It was funny.
11.: Katlyn told me that her friend Rob was eating Halapeenyo (I have no idea how to spell it) cheddar cheetos and she said, "I can smell those from over here." Rob asked, "What do they smell like?" Katlyn said, "Halapeenyos and cheese." "Wrong," said Rob, "They're cheddar and halapeenyos." Katlyn said, "cheddar is cheese." rob said, "It's different." He looked up Cheddar on Wikipedia and found out that it was a village. Today in math and dimensions, there was this quote by john n. (i can't remember his last name) who wasn't famous for anything but that quote. Rob looked up his last name on his iTouch thing and found out that it was a village too. That's what Katlyn said to the teacher and then she said, "Cheddar is a village too." It was funny.

a touchy subject...?

Hi! I haven't posted in awhile. I have this song stuck in my head. I kissed a girl and I liked it. The taste of her cherry chapstick. I kissed a girl just to try it. Hope my boyfriend don't mind it. It felt so wrong it felt so right...etc. That song is so weird! It's a really weird song to have stuck in your head. I mean it's a good song but I wish it had different lyrics. Like, I kissed a boy and I liked it. The taste of his... do boys wear cherry chapstick? The first time I heard it, I thought it was a boy singing it and I was like okay. Then I figured it out. It's weird because I think it's the first song I've ever heard about a gay person. What I want to know is: is Katy Perry actually gay (this is perfectly fine) or is it just for attention (this is also fine). What do you think?

Everyone who did the talent show was awesome! It was great. Even though Alan and Jody messed up in Andy's act, as far as I could tell Andy and Parker didn't mess up. It was amazing even though people messed up. Great job you guys and everyone else in the talent show! WHOOO!

our group won for social studies. i picked a butterfingers. and i had the best costume in our class. I really didn't think it was all that great though. i had shoes and a belt but i didn't have lorel leaves or anything. I think i failed that social studies test. oh well. buh bye.

Thursday, June 5, 2008

Today I got to wear a toga! It didn't work out so well because it kept falling down and it was too long but it was still fun. I wore my When In Rome (the play last year) sandals. They kept coming untied. At the Olympics, I did pencil javelin, Neha did the footrace, Andrew did tortilla discus and Jacob did standing broad jump and shot put. We got first place on the footrace, discus, and shot put, third place on the pencil javelin and last place in the long jump. Andrew was funny. He threw the tortilla during the practice and it went into pieces so he had to use a broken tortilla. After the real thing, he tripped over thel ine and we had to put it back. At the beginning of the hour, we were in first place and three out of four people in our group dressed up so we might win. Yay! On Tuesday, I went to the choir concert. It was awesome. I liked the sixth grade song Cameroon, the boys only song, and California Dreamin'. At first I thought California Dreamin' was going to be a Beach Boys medley but I guess it was just some random songs or something. I don't know. blah.

Stuff about today

For the Social Studies thing, we were second place, then we were tied for first, then we were second by half a point, then we were tied for first and now we're second by half a point again. It's becuase Lindsey and Martina weren't there when we took the quiz on the video so today Mrs. DeKatch let them fill it in with anything they remebered. Martina gave her group 6 points but they're still in last place. Lindsey's group before she took the quiz was tied with us for first but she gave her group half a point. Today science was... um... interesting. Yeah. For gym, since we were right after the Chieftain Challenge, we didn't have to run or do cals or anything. We just went straight into free gym. Lucky lucky us. Changing for gym was really crowded because of all the sixth graders that were in the Cheiftain Challenge that needed their clothes. The Cheiftain Challenge was fun. I made a sign for Mr. Coty. He's really fast for a teacher! I didn't see any other teachers running it though. Not even the gym teachers. Oh well. I guess they just didn't want to. We have a band concert tonight! WHOO!

Choir to French

Yesterday I went to the high school to get a physical done so I can do sports next year. I saw a few people I knew but there weren't every many people there at all. The lady from the guidance office was there so my dad asked her about changing from choir to French. She said that was a great idea because there are going to be LOTS of choir people next year and not enough French people. She said if I changed out of choir, she owuld give me candy. That's not why I changed though. I changed so choir wouldn't be so crowded, my dad said French would be a lot better for me, and I'm not doing choir in high school so it wouldn't hlep me for high school. I really really really wanted to be in choir, but I really really really wanted to be in French too. I guess I'm going to have a lot of homework and be lonely when all the choir people are gone next year. Oh well. I'll live. Vivian and I will stand together! But she's doing Spanish, not French. OH WELL!!!!!!!

Social Studies group

I haven't been posting in awhile because I either don't have time or I think of something to write about away from the computer and then when I get to my blog, I can't remember what I was going to say! Okay. For Social Studies, I am Lalika (LOL!) of Megara. What kind of name is Lalika?!? Neha, Jacob D., and Andrew L. are in my group. It's a pretty good group. We got second place on our poster and second place on our quiz so we were, as of yesterday, tied with Kelly, Jacob B, Sean, and Morgan from Sparta for first place! I hope we win. We probably won't though. Our temple thing sucked. It was really really sturdy though. We were playing catch with it and nothing happened. Very careful catch, but still. We weren't handing it to each other, but we weren't chucking it.

Nicknames

Preeti recently declared that my nickname is Oreo. Her's is fudge, Liz's is whipped cream, Julia's is sprinkles, and I think Geethika's is ice cream. I will never be able to remember these yummy nicknames! No!

Math and Band

So today, I went to math and Mr. Scates wasn't there yet. That happens a lot. But usually he gets there in time. Today we had to wait like, 15 minutes for him. We were just standing in the hallway and talking. Then he came after a long time. So I got to miss part of math class today! Yay! On Friday, we had a sub in band. People were being crazy and acting up. Kyle and Josh switched instruments and switched places! Josh is bad at the clarinet. I don't really have anything else to say.

Soccer Games

Today we had a soccer game. It didn't work out so well. They had some really tough girls that were really good at taking the ball away and the had really strong kicks. The score was like 5 to 1 (Yay April!). I really wanted to win. Oh well. Elena and Kate weren't there because of Honors Band. Last week were victorious!!! The score was 7 to 0. It would have been 8 to 0, but the second goal I made was off-sides. It was the last goal but it didn't count. The first one I made did count though. Yay. I felt bad for the other team because they didn't have any subs! We had two subs. They had to play the whole game!

Memory

Okay so I changed the song AGAIN! Sorry but I just love this song. I kind of forgot about it for awhile.

Social Studies

Yup. You guessed it. This is about Social Studies. I love Social Studies. It's not completely the subject. I mostly like our class. They're hilarious! We talk about the weirdest things and do the strangest things. Yesterday in Social Studies, I had to present my poster. For some reason, Bobbie wanted to hold up posters for everybody so I let her. I was the last person to present in that hour. Speaking of Bobbie, one time Mrs. DeKatch had an example of an exception to the one-child policy in China. She said, "Let's pretend that that Bobbie married Susie and had a kid." All of us were just like, "WHOA!". It was funny. That's really all that was important about that example. So today in Social Studies (I'm skipping around a lot I know) the last four people presented their project, we reviewed what we knew about China and played T.V. News Game for the next half hour or so. My group was Ashwin, Mike, and Jacob B.!!! They wasted a lot of time fighting over the little white board and marker. It was annoying. The only answers I knew that my group didn't know (that I can remember) was what the four-book saga by Stephenie Meyer was called (Twilight. Duh. Ashwin tried to get me to write Trinity!) and that Chanel No. 5 was perfume. I sneezed really weird today. That was random. Speaking of random, one time during Social Studies (duh) Sean suddenly looked up at me and said, "253.". It was random. One time when we had a sub, Bobbie and Morgan were eating paper. So weird. The last time we had a sub, we learned about an earthquake. There were some pandas in the slideshow. Jacob B. said he hated pandas because they attacked people. The sub said that little things were cute once and Sean starting dancing. Then Jacob B. said, "Sean, you would be cute if you cut your hair." Whoa. Then Bobbie said, "Now Sean knows what NOT to do." We have a very strange class.

Ice Box

The song is Ice Box by OMARION now. It's a great song from last year. I choose it because the other ones that I wanted either didn't work or there weren't any results for that song. You can now pause the song! Yay!

Blog Songs

You know what's really annoying about having songs on blogs? If you're already listening to music, you have to listen to two songs at once. Like I was listening to How Far We've come and Preeti's Indiana Jones song and it just didn't work. But I couldn't stop Preeti's music. There should be a way to pause the music if you don't feel like listening to it. And if you're looking at two different blogs, it doesn't work either. Oh well. I have a song too.

Woot Woot!

Okay so I am DONE with my China research paper and project. Completely done! Maybe cuz I did a poster and it was really easy to find research but whatever. I don't care. I'm done! So relieved. Now the only thing I have to worry about is whether I got a good grade or not. Please, please, please, give me good grades teachers.

Sandstorm

Okay so I changed the song again! Maybe I'll change it back to Wake Up Call but for now it's Sandstorm by Darude. It's interesting.

Dogs, sister, bubbles!

After the soccer game, my sister, dog, and I went across the street to see the cute little doggy. Then we played with bubbles. I blew them and my sister popped them. Then I wanted to go inside and my sister started screaming. She wanted to play with the bubbles, draw with chalk, and go rollerskating (or ice skating if you're Allie). She even tried to block the door so I couldn't get inside. Silly thing.

Soccer

Today I played soccer. I love soccer. I always start the game out though. It's weird. Every single game I'm out to start with. Today I played right and left forward. The other team only had 8 players so they didn't get any subs. Out team however, had three subs so I got switched in and out during the first half. At the second half though, Andrea got hurt and Kaelyn went to the place where she volunteers so we only had one sub. I didn't go out for the whole second half. We played really well. Kate scored three goals, April scored two, and Summer and I each scored one. I almost got two goals but the second one was offsides so it didn't count. Actually, I don't think it was. Caitlin (I think that's how you spell it) kicked it past the defenders toward the goal and I was on the side that was away from them. Then I went past them and scored. But they called it as offsides so it didn't count. Oh well. We still one. A couple times, someone was cheering for me. I didn't recognize their voice and I couldn't look so I have no idea who it was. Weird. After the game, I pet some dogs and then we went home.

Rollerblading

Yesterday I went rollerblading. I hadn't gone rollerblading outside of EDRU's in years so it was hard at first to get used to. After awhile, I think I obtained a speed slightly faster than walking pace. lol. At least I was a ton faster than my sister who was rollerskating for the first time. It was fun and I think I have almost mastered the brake.

New Song

Now the song is Wake Up Call by Maroon 5. Love them! It takes awhile for the words to come, but it's still a good song.

Space Camp

In fifth grade we went to Space Camp. It was really fun. Not everyone in our grade went since it was during school. Only the people who wanted to. But everyone should have. It was really fun. On the way to the airport, I rode with Hayden and we watched a space movie. I was so excited to go to space camp. I think the people in my sleeping room were Summer, Michaela, Amaris, and Natasha. I don't remember very well, so that might not be right, but oh well. My team was the Bean team. I think I remember that Robbie, Zach, Hayden, Carly, Eli, and Kim were on my team. We drew a picture of some beans for our flag thing. It was hot because it was in Huntsville, Alabama. We did simutarions like the one were you sit in a chair thing and it spins you around in every direction possible. Some girls got a rash from the straps or something. We also did one were we got in this harness and then we bounced. It was like walking on the moon except with more gravity. We made these rockets, but Space Camp had recently decided not to have any fire so we couldn't launch them. They were kind of confusing to build. We did make these paper rockets and fired them. The meals came on trays. We ate sandwichs and chips and stuff like that. If you wanted to, you could buy Dip N Dots for $3. I bought starbursts and once I got Dip N Dots. I remember that we went to bed around ten and woke up around 7. I was really tired and it felt really early when we got up. There were no counselors in our room. People would just come in to check that our room was clean, to tell us it was time to go to sleep, and tell us it was time to get up. One day we did this activity where some of us would go down to "Mars" where there were some red rocks. We would make some observations and go back up. Some people had to stay in the top part the whole time. I don't know what they did. If you were going to Mars, you had to wait for the light to turn green. One time we did a flight simulation. One time I was with Berkleigh (I don't know if that's how you spell it) and we had to build this one thing before the space shuttle left without us and we got burned up in the atmosphere. It was hard because we were sitting on this thing and we couldn't walk around. We were wearing these gloves that made it hard to move and do anything with our hands. We didn't succeed so Michaela and everyone left us in space. The second time, I was a commander. I don't remember anything about that except seeing earth on the little t.v. screen. I remember it was confoozling because we had this script and you couldn't hear people and they kept messing up and people would forget to say their lines so it was hard. One time, we did a scavenger hunt in this museum type thing. I worked with Summer. In the same musuem type thing, we had to take notes or something, and I didn't have a pencil so I tried using my finger nail and my shoelace. That didn't work so well. Finally the chaperone person noticed and let me borrow a pencil. I had to copy the notes that I missed. There was a rock climbing wall at Space Camp. I did the easy part and got to the top. There were rides. For some of the rides, since I got motion sick, I sat out with Zach and Robbie. I did do that one that goes up and down though. I don't remember what it was called. It was like that one ride that goes slowly up and then suddenly drops except it would go higher and it would go up and down. And up and down. There was another ride that I think was called the triple G. It was in this circular thing and you strap yourself to the walls and it goes roung and round really fast. It was fun. On one of the last days of Camp, we played Space Bowl. My question was something like, "What sandwich did (enter that astronaut's name here) eat in space?" The answer was corned-beef and I got it right! There were lots of questions about things we had learned those past 5-6 days. Our team won! Everyone who went to space camp got a shirt. I don't know where mine is anymore. On the plane ride home, Summer and I thought we would do homework, but we ate the whole way home. It was about two hours. We ate our lunch, then we ate Pringles and we ate sour straws. We were very surprised that we had only eaten for the whole ride!

soccer, rain, weird dream

Yesterday I went jogging in the rain. Not so fun. It was only sprinkling when I started, but when I got back home, it was practically pouring. I had another weird dream last night. I was at this dance (I think it was for cottilion even though I don't do cottilion anymore) and people paired you up with someone and you danced the whole night with them. I got paired with Hayden. When we started dancing, we quickly realized that I was wearing the wrong shoes they were white with high heels and two straps. They kept on falling off and I would stumble. I was really upset so I went to the bathroom and washed my face. That made me feel better. When I got done, Hayden was waiting for me. We decided to sit on a bench in the ballroom and talk instead of dancing. After a little while, we started laughing really loudly at something. Everyone in the room turned and stared at us. We decided to go into the punch room where we could talk without bothering anyone. So that's what we did for the rest of the dance I guess. Yesterday in the morning, we had a soccer game. It was really cold out and the grass was really wet. We tried our hardest (I hope) and tied the game. I didn't score any goals, but I tried to. I got close a couple of times. After the game, Summer, Andrea, and I played with Summer's puppy Oliver. He's so cute! He has grown a lot. He is a golden retriever and black lab mix, but he looks more like a black lab. For the rest of the day I worked on China and checked my email and stuff. Not a very fun afternoon. Oh well. Ta ta for now.

yum, yum, yum.

For dinner I had corn and biscuits. I had to cut all the corn off the cob and it was time consuming. The biscuits were all warm and soft and yummy. I had two of them. One one of them I put the yummy combination of butter and honey. One the other one, I put on blueberry jam and it tasted like blueberry pie! So so so good! My dog is being very naughty lately. He jumps on my bed whenever I leave him in my room alone (which happens a lot), he pees in the house sometimes, he barks a lot, and he jumps up on people. Today he got some corn. He kept on wanting to eat it on the carpet, but we had to bring him back into the kitchen. He can't eat corn on the carpet. He looked silly carrying a corn cob around in his mouth.

-Melissa

yay!

Thanks to Andy, I fugured out how to add a song on here! Right now it's Move Along by the All American Rejects. So anyway, it rained today during our gym hour! It rained! It didn't rain for the morning hours so they had to go outside. When I say "it rained" what exactly is "it"? The sky? That's confoozling. So it (whatever it is) rained starting with our hour. So some of Mr. Bartmen's class had to go outside and get the lacrosse stuff and stuff. Why couldn't we have done it? We had to stay inside and run. In circles. They didn't even look wet when they came back inside. Maybe they ran really fast. Because of the rain, it was really hot and humid in the gym. Yuck. At least we didn't have to go outside. And we didn't have to play tennis. Mr. Bartmen's class got to play dodgeball. When I was going to lunch, Natasha's mom told Paul not to be clumsy with his food like yesterday. It was kind of funny. There were fries, Bosco sticks, sauce, gushers and his drink all over the floor. I felt kind of bad for him when he had to clean it up all by himself. When I walked home, it was still raining! It was pouring! This time I wasn't happy about the rain. At least Martina and Anna shared their umbrellas with Summer and I. They were smart to bring them. And nice to share.

new colors!

I kept the layout the same, but now it has different colors and it's bootiful!

Happy May Day!

Yeah. Today's May Day. I think. Today we ran the mile. I have a new best time! 7:33! Yay! Okay. Last night I had another weird dream. This one's not very long. I was running a race on the beach. For some reason, I was against a bunch of boys. Maybe the girls were farther back. Maybe I was just running with the boys on accident. I don't know. All of the boys were ones that I had seen before but didn't know their names. I didn't know any of their names! That's weird. Anyway, I was running really close to the water and I was, for some reason, in front of all of them. Not by a lot though. It was weird that it was a meet (I just knew that even though we weren't on a track and no one was watching) but there was only our team there. So I was running along, and then I fell into a hole filled with yellow Play-Doh! I was sitting in the Play-Doh and one of the boys won! Suddenly a bunch of people appeared and they were all mad that I didn't win. Then the dream was over. I didn't have track today, so I went to ART CLUB! I haven't been there in suuuuuuuuuch a long time. There was Jazz Band and then track. I did stuff. Yeah.

:)

Today was an AMAZING day! I loved it. I woke up yeah and stuff. I went to school. Band was really fun. We had Mrs. Jorgensen as a sub and we just hung out and talked and MASHed people. Then we got really confoozled. First she told us that 2nd, 3rd, and 6th were on the bus together. Then she told us that 2nd, 3rd, and 4th were on a bus together. When we got back outside we were told something else. I know that 2nd and 3rd were together and 4th wasn't on our bus, but I don't know what other hour was on our bus. Oh well. It doesn't really matter. All that matters is that it's clear that the whole which bus to go on thing was confoozling. Anyway, we went on the bus and I ended up sitting in a seat with Nate L. and Kyle N.. They're great people I guess, but I really didn't want to be crammed next to them in a bus. I passed notes to Michaela, Preeti and Sarah. Michaela wrote notes back. Her hand writing was hard to read because we were on a bus, but I did it! Okay. So we got to the movies and got popcorn and pop. I sat next to Liz and Clare. I think that's how you spell her name. We saw Everest. It was about this group of people who climbed mount everest. People died. It was very hard. The avalanche was very loud. One guy climbed to the top without an oxygen tank! It felt like I was really there. It was very interesting. I spilled a lot of my popcorn on the floor but I saved the rest of it from falling. Even with the help of the spill, I didn't finish my popcorn. When the movie was over, I rode with Liz and Elena. We were all wearing our track sweat shirts and jeans. When we got to the mall, I didn't know what restaurant I wanted to go to. I started at Charley's and then went to A&W. They didn't have what Summer and I wanted, so we went to sbarro's to get pizza. We talked to the lady behind us in line. Yeah. We told her allllllllllll about our school. She said that we were lucky that there are no bullies at our school and everyone pretty much gets along. Meaning no fights in the hallways and stuff. We're not perfect. By the time we got to the front of the line, we found out that there was no more cheese or pepperoni pizza! The lady working there said it would be about 10 minutes. I decided that was too long and we would have to wait in more of a line once we got our food to pay so I decided to go to Cajun Cafe next door (or whatever) since there was nooooooo line. I got Bourbon chicken and fried rice because Erin told me to get it. She and Gabrielle got it too. So we ate our food and left. Vivian ate a lot of fries. On the ride back to school, I sat with Natalie and Jamie. We were sad when we got back to school. It was almost fifth hour. We played outside until it was time to go to fifth hour. In fifth hour, we switched seats and then played a game. One team sits on one side of the table and the other team sits on the other side. You have to hold hands with the people next to you. The person at the head of the table would hold a stuffed peep. GOOOOOOO peeps! sorry. ANyway, Ms. Wild would throw a coin in the air (I was careful not to say throw up) and she would show the people at her end of the table. If it was head side up, the people would squeeze the person's hand next to them and the squeeze would go down until the people at the other end of the table got it. When they did, they would try and grab the peep before the person sitting across from them. They won if they got it first. If people spread the squeeze and it was tails, the other team would win. If you won you would move down a seat. The game was over when one of the original people was at the end of the table. That team would win. After our team won, Summer showed me a card trick with some UNO cards. I was frustrated when I couldn't figure out how she did it. Then Summer, Jamie, Geethika and I played UNO. Gym was easy. We only had to run to the second back-stop and back. Then we went inside and practiced serving on the deck. I don't know why we did it on the deck, but okay. In Social Studies we played games. Yay games! Mrs. DeKatch got to pick them, but oh well. They were still fun. First we played charades. Some of them were very hard to do like eagle, traffic light, merry go round, Great Wall of China, rocking chair and nap. Some people had a hard time. But our team won. For the merry go round one, the other team got it in like two seconds! It was truly amazing. Then we went back to Mrs. DeKatch's room and played pass the pen. She gives us a topic and then we have a little bit of time to write down examples of it. You take turns. For colors, you can write gold, purple, orange and yeah, you get it. My group was Morgan, Neha and Kelly. We won candy! I got a smarties sucker. In track we only had to run 1800 meters lightly. I guess my light is faster than other people's lights because I lapped a lot of people. I should have went slower. I was the third girl done. If I went slower I would be less sore. But it really did feel light to me. I didn't feel fast at all. I was so so so happy that track was easy today and we went home after that. It was so easy. I had so much energy that I ran most of the way back to Kinawa. Bad idea. I got changed and walked home. Ernie really wanted to go out so I took him for a long walk. Then I got home and went to my grandparents' house to celebrate my dad's birthday. We had carrots, cottage cheese, potatoes, and meat. For dessert, we had my dad's favorite lemon meringue pie. After dessert, I hurried over to soccer practice on my bike. I was just in time to see Summer biking down my street after an unsuccessful trip to my house and biked the rest of the way with her. Soccer practice was pretty normal except my legs were really sore from running so much in the past two days. When we were scrimmaging, I accidently screamed, "Go yellow, go go go! Wait. What am I saying?!?" I wasn't on the yellow team! Michaela kept on yelling at me to run this way and that but I couldn't go as fast as she wanted me to. Oh well. It's not her fault she couldn't feel the extreme pain in my legs. If she could, she probably wouldn't be yelling at me. I don't even know why they're sore. I didn't run that much in the past two days. I've done more before. Maybe because I didn't go to practice on Thursday because I didn't have my gym shoes, I didn't have practice on Friday, I only had a soccer game on Saturday and I didn't do any running on Sunday so my muscles all died. Then when I did track again, I wasn't used to it, so my muscles had to get bigger. So them I went home and did stuff on the computer and practiced. I guess I will have to take a shower tomorrow since there is no time today. If you actually made it all the way down here, wow. If you just skipped all the way to the bottom without reading anything above, I don't blame you. This post was really long today. I'll try to make them shorter but it's so fun to write about every detail!

-Melissa

oops.

I forgot to finish my blog entry yesterday. So yesterday I went to track and it was very tiring. We ran to Chippewa like we always do. Then we went to the track, something us distance/middle distance runners never do. Usually we run on the tennis courts. Anyway, we had to run 400 meters then rested, 400 meters then rested, 800 meters then rested, 800 meters then rested, 400 meters then rested, and 400 meters again. This all had to be as fast as we could go. Not sprinting, because then you would die, but very fast jogging. In case you don't know, that's two miles. We were timed and when we did the 400 ones, we tried to make the second one within five seconds of the first one both times. When we were resting (us 800 meter runners) the 400 runners would go and then the mile/two mile runners. okay so when track was over, I went home and did stuff. Like eat dinner. Then my family and I went a very long walk. We walked in the woods between the two middle schools. We came out near the track. I showed my sisterhow to do the long jump. She wasn't very good, but she's only five. I have plenty of time to teach her before she's in middle school. Then the two of us ran 400 meters (one lap). She's a pretty fast runner for such a little kid. She didn't even have to stop. Okay so then we went back home and did stuff. Like practicing. And reading New Moon (awesome!). I know this is really random but I have got to read the 4th Maximum Ride book! I neeeeeeeeeed to! The End.

blah, blah, blah. That's what I will call this post I guess.

Well. I guess I'm going to be blahing for this email. For those of you who don't understand, blahing just meaning talking about random stuffs. In art I did the potter's wheel for the very first time! Yay! It was very, very, hard but I made something that doesn't look completely horrible for my first try. In Language Arts I did some research. My topic is Chinese inventions. During lunch, I had Déjà vu. There was a bird in the lunch room just like about a year ago! Someone (I think it was Paul) picked it up and threw it into the lunchroom air. It landed a few yards away. Summer was pulling on Andrew's shirt because he wanted to hit the bird with his binder. Summer is a big-time animal lover. It was kind of funny to see her pulling on his shirt. I felt bad for the bird. When I went to go look at it, it was so cute. It was brown and grey I think and it was just staring out the window, probably paralyzed with fear. Then a janitor guy came in and picked up the bird with a towel. He probably took the bird outside. In math I got lucky. The person who used the same graphing calculator as me in 3rd hour didn't clear the memory. I didn't have to enter any of the data (74 numbers!) and I didn't have to make the scatter plot. Thank you 3rd hour person with calculator 411! I want to know who that is! In fifth hour we just worked on our mammoth thingy. In sixth hour we went outside and played tennis. It was really cold. Actually we didn't really play tennis. We just practiced forehands and backhands. While we were waiting in line. I got to hear about Bridget's date with this 15 year old named Seth. Joy. They went to see Prom Night. Seth drove her there because he can drive. She was so happy. She said that Prom Night wasn't actually very scary. Maybe I'll watch it. In seventh hour we did research. Sean, Bobbie and Morgan were making this really annoying noises and Mrs. DeKatch asked them to stop and if she heard them doing it again, she would sign their stats sheets. They said they were making up a song. Speaking of stats sheets, once I had a dream that I was singing Sensual Seduction in Science and I got my stats sheet signed because of it. Then in Social Studies, I bragged about it. Very strange. Speaking of dreams, I had a dream last night that I was walking to Hiawatha with a big group of people in seventh grade. Maybe we weren't seventh grade in the dream though since we were walking to Hiawatha. Anway, suddenly, Summer rode by on her bike. I shouted, "Kourtney! Kourtney!" and I wondered why she didn't answer. When the dream was over, I realized that I shouldn't shout Kourtney if I want Summer. I don't even know why I was calling her Kourtney! I have one more dream. Just one more! Then I'll be done until I get another one. I got this dream on the day when the eighth grade band and orchestra played for us during base. I was really surprised to see that this eighth grader in my gym hour was in orchestra. This was before he got his haircut and before I even knew that his name was Zach Bellaire. In the dream I was talking to him and I said, "I can't believe you're in orchestra!" he said, "I can't believe that you, my friend are in band!". I don't know how he knew that, but hey, it was a dream. I said, "Umm, you're not my friend." Zach said, "But we could be friends. Do you want to be?" I said,"sure, why not?". So i guess we became friends. weird huh?

Hiawatha Happening

Today I went to the Hiawatha happening with Summer and her sister. We rode our bikes. It was a lot of fun, but it didn't seem as much fun as it usually is. A lot of people from Kinawa were there. Even if they didn't go to Hiawatha. It was fun to say hi to people and if they weren't in our grade and didn't know us, they would say How do you know my name? It was fun. Especially when we were leaving and there were some high schoolers by the bike rack. Summer said, "I think that boy's name is Alex." and I said, "Alex?" and then he looked at me and said, "How do you know my name?" I didn't even know that that was the boy she was talking about! Summer explained that she knew him from karate or something. I played the cupcake walk game a million times but I never won! Summer won once and Maddie said she won like 6 times. It was fun to see my old teachers. My fifth grade teacher's son Saano had the same shirt as me! It was red and said Soccer Zone. Haha!

Just Some stuff

I didn't get to go to the Wardcliff play yesterday. Boo hoo. Today was National Silence Day. I started not talking at about 11 this morning because that's when I found out it. I guess I wasn't weirded out enough by Robbie's note that said: We need to move down. in band to ask him why he wrote it down instead of telling me. Anyway, National Silence Day is when we respect all the people who died in hate-crimes and didn't get a chance to tell anybody about it before they died by not talking. That's what I heard anyway. So I found out about it around 11 and then I started using a notepad to talk to people. When the sub in math called my name, I raised my hand instead of saying here. When Ms. Wild had us repeat the numbers out loud that she pointed at us with, i just held up four fingers instead of saying four. You get the picture. But in gym I didn't have my notepad (I couldn't run with it in the mile and anyway it would be weird to talk to a teacher on a notepad) so I had to tell Mrs. Marks my mile time outloud. It was my very best! I'm so proud of myself. At my school, for a lot of people, 7:42 is really bad, but for me, it was really good. A lot of other people got their best time also. For me it was either because of track or that new running form that the Playmakers people showed us. Grace was dehydrated so she had to walk twice, but she still got the same time as me. Oh well. Another time when I wasn't silent (I'm not sure if this counts) was when in gym, a volleyball almost hit my head and I screamed. In Social Studies, I told Mrs. DeKatch thank you because I couldn't just not say anything after she gave me a really good book for my China project. My subject is inventions. I hope it's really easy. I do not care at all if it's boring. I just want it to be easy. I don't know if it's boring yet. Probably not. And after school, a girl's dogs were barking at Ernie and she said sorry so I had to say, "That's okay". And then Summer called and so I just decided to give up on this no talking thing. We are going to the Hiawatha Happening. Yay! It was really annoying when someone would say thank you or something like that and I couldn't answer and when someone would ask me a question and I would be anwering it on my notepad and then they would ask me another question! Hello! Does it look like I can answer two questions at once? Maybe if they both had the answer yes, but that's not the case if the answers were something like, What was your mile time? and Why aren't you talking? at the same time. Those questions were asked to me by Summer on the walk home. Katie, Eddie, Eric, Sarah, Robert, Robbie and some other people did it. Sarah forgot and spoke. I think everyone except Katie and I just stopped. Anyway, moving on. Yesterday in Language Arts, Kai said something funny. He said that the day before that, in Foods, He and his group were making something and Kai was testing the stove with his hand. He touched the burner and it wasn't ready. He tried a couple more times and then he found out that it was ready. He burned his hand! Pooor Kai. It was kind of dumb of him to touch the burner to see if it was ready though. Don't tell him I said that.

P.S. Sarah: I don't think that Sean wasn't talking because every time I saw him except once he was talking.

:(

Today was a bad day. Since my days are usually great, it doesn't take much to make my day bad. Today I spilled the milk three times when I was pouring it into my cereal bowl. In science we watched this boring movie and had to answer questions. In gym, I forgot my gym shoes so I had to sit out and just watch everyone. That's also why I'm not in track right now. I guess today wasn't that bad of a day. It just was a little worse than usual. Really the only good things were that I got good cookies in lunch, didn't get any bad grades, got the answers right when Mrs. DeKatch called on me so I didn't have to stay after class, and I got to walk home with Summer. But someone did come running up and yelling, "Summer, Melissa wait!" so that kind of ruined it. Those good things are just tiny good things though. Actually I have another one. I have hardly any homework today. Yay!

Apples on a Stick

Apples on a stick. Makes me sick. Makes my heart beat two forty-six. Not because you're dirty, not because you're clean, just because you kissed a boy behind a magizine. Girls, girls, wanna have fun. Here comes Sarah with the blue jeans on. She can do the wibble-wobble, she can do the splits, betcha 5 bucks she can't do this. Close you eyes and count to ten, if you mess up you're a big fat hen.

Last year we did that all the time! I'm surprised I still remember the lyrics. I don't remember the hand-clapping motions though. I tryed it with grace a few days ago, but neither of us could remember how.

Ernie

This is my cute little doggie. His name is Ernie. Be warned that I will put up another picture of him it I find a better one. He looks kind of evil in this one and he usually doesn't look that way.

Me Talking About the Weather Again

I can't believe it snowed last night and this morning! It's the middle of April! I want to wear flip-flops and shorts and T-shirts and not FREEZE TO DEATH! Today I took my dog for a walk (it was snowing) and I was wearing a t-shirt, a sweatshirt, my down really warm winter coat, jeans, and tennis shoes and I was really cold. It was below freezing with the wind chill. Why does it have to be this way? Flowers bloomed, but they closed back up because it was so cold! When I get older, I swear, I'm going to move to a warmer state.

sea horse

Isn't that sea horse cute? I always forget about sea horses. But they're so cute! And small! And innocent!

weird dreams

Vivian was in my dreams three times last week. In the first dream, the seventh grade band and choir students had a performance together. We took a train to the place where we were performing and Vivian snuck on with us. She's not in band or choir. The train wasn't actually in my dream, but you just know that kind of stuff in dreams. Another thing that I just knew was that Tanner and I had snuck out of the place where everyone was performing and met Vivian in a street. Tanner had his binder and a weird hat. Vivian and I went into a store. There were these baby clothes and Vivian took a shirt that had brown and yellow stripes on it. There were three eighth notes on it that made the shape of an L. Vivian took the shirt and put it on her head. The sleeves turned into those braidy things that are on some hats except the braids were on the top instead of the bottom of the hat. It was now a shirt/hat. Anyway, Vivian put the shirt on her head, it became a shirt/hat, she did a little dance and the dream was over.

Another night, I had a dream that we were at camp. Our school brought all the seventh and eighth graders to this one camp that was like an indoor amusement park. We went on a train ride. I must have forgotten something or something because my mom came to camp, gave me something. and followed me around for the rest of the day. Vivian's mom was there too. My mom and Vivian's mom talked while I watched Vivian buy something from a little stand. I think it was a disposable camera. No one else's mom was there. Later (my mom wasn't there) I went on a ride that was kind of like the Kali River Rapids Ride (or whatever it's called) in Disney World. You get on a circular boat with some other people (I sat next to my friend Reychell and the rest were eighth graders) and you go down a river-like thing (except it was inside and really dark) and you bump off the walls and turn around and around. Before we knew it, there was a giant waterfall (way bigger than the one at Disney) and we were falling down it. Before that, we were all laughing but when we got to the waterfall we all screamed. The dream ened right before we fell.

Another night I had a dream that my dad and I rented a house near an amusement park. It was a big house. One morning, I couldn't find my dad so I walked down the dusty road to the amusement park. This one was inside too. I went on a ride where you go on it and see different stuff. It wasn't a thrill ride. It was very slow. I was the only one on it. When I got into one room, I saw Eddie peeking through a hole in the wall. Then my dad look in, saw me, and said, "Melissa! With your irrodescent hair, someone could take you! Put some sunscreen on!" and I said something like, "I'm fine dad." Eddie watched this. Then I went back to school and for some reason I was in advanced math. So was Vivian and Jessica and a bunch of eighth graders. Then the dream was over.

doo dee doo dee doo.

Why isn't it warm yet? It's driving me crazy! Well, actually it isn't since I spent the last few days in Florida, but I wish it was warmer. Yesterday it was pretty nice. After 7:30 which was when I got home. Florida was either burning up or pouring rain, so the weather wasn't the best, but we still had a blast in Disney World. You go there. It's fun. Unless you don't want to. Nevermind.

Psychic abilities?

A couple of days ago (Wednesday night) I had a dream that we switched seats in social studies. In real life I had sat next to a girl named N and across from S. In the dream, I ened up sitting next to S and across from N when we were done switching and we're like, that's weird. N and S just switched places! The next day, we switched seats in social studies and were put into these rows instead of table groups. And I was sitting next to S. But I wasn't sitting across from N. I couldn't because we were in rows (she was in my row though). Oh well. I guess I need to work on my psychic abilities. :)

Random, Random, and more Random

I am going to use this font for today. I haven't posted anything for awhile. I didn't feel like it. Today is a beautiful day. It's so warm out right now. There's still snow out though which really annoys me. I have a song from band stuck in my head. It's called The Procession of the Sardar or something. I really really don't want to go to my French horn lesson. Now I have a Jazz Band song stuck in my head. everybody dance now! No one will read this. Except Sarah if she is being weird. I'm kidding. This is like, the weirdest post I've done. Maybe. I hope anyone who reads this understands that I didn't love Luke Skywalker. How can you love a fictional charater? No clue. If anyone reads this, please leave a comment because I want to see if anyone actually reads this. That was weird.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Today was the first track practice. Not many of my friends from my school are in it (only three that I can think I right now; E, J, and N) but I have a few friends from the other middle school too so it's all good. Anyway (I say that word too much) we jogged to the other middle school (since they have the track) and warmed up. Then we jogged and ran and sprinted and walked until our legs felt like they would fall off. That's how I felt anyway (see!). But J's mom was nice and she drove the four of us to our school instead of walking or running like everyone else. I felt bad for them. What's really really weird is that after we were done with part of our running, we would walk and I would become really really hyper and start laughing really creepily and skipping until J reminded me we were supposed to be walking. And I would say weird things like, "Oh no, we're running. Yay!". I was really creeping myself out and kept saying so. I was tired, but if you looked at me you would probably think, "That girl's weird. She's not even tired!" And I kept needing a tissue since it was like 30 degrees out but it felt really good when we were running because we were running. Ya know. Yeah. So that was track for you. In band today we got a list of the possible tests for us in the future. I also had to switch seats with Ryan so that I was sitting in the middle of the row instead of the end. I don't even know why I had to switch. I used to sit next to my friend E (from track) but when I switched, I have to sit next to a boy which I will call K (in the clarinet section) or T (I think) and someone else from the French horn section who is of course, a boy. But it depends on what day it is to who that boy is. Also, from my new seat, it's harder for me to get out and get to my next class. Enough about band though. In art we started coil peices and that's about it. In Language Arts, we started reading children's books for this project we're doing. At lunch, S and I tried to sell Girl Scout cookies. Then G came but pretty much all she did was play with my five-year-old sister. In math we had a substitute and a test about graphs and stuff. In science we had a really short vocabulary quiz about genetics and a sub. Again! We also read in this book and answered some questions. In gym we did volleyball again. In social studies we worked on our Africa projects in the computer lab. Actually, I didn't really work on socail studies. I mostly chatted to E on Gmail. That was probably my longest post.

Yesterday

I kind of forgot to post yesterday. I was on the blog, but then I left. All I really wanted to say yesterday was that I went to Girl Scouts and made bread and muffins but I had to leave before it was done baking so I didn't get any warm bread. That made me really sad. :(

Spring!

I love love looooooooove being able to walk home from school with only a sweatshirt on. I was really getting tired of the cold. There is one thing that confuses me though. And I do know that it's cold in the morning. Let's get that established before I state what I'm confused about. Okay. I'm confused because in the morning it's like 30 degrees outside and feels like it's the middle of January and after school, it's really nice outside and like 55 degrees. How can it change that much? And another thing I'm confused about. Why is there still snow on the ground in big piles if it's so warm? I'm very confused about spring this year, but I'm still very very glad that it's almost here.

Random fact

Here is a random fact. I promise this will be my last post today unless something really important or cool happens or there is something I just have to write. Anyway, the random fact is: the billionth digit of pi is 9. Isn't that cool? I betcha didn't know that.

Funny Stuff

Sorry that I keep making new posts. My sister and my dad are eating dinner. My sister is in a crabby mood so she told my dad that she didn't want to sit next to him. So they sat at opposite ends of the table. Our table is pretty big so it looked really silly. Then my sister needed a napkin so my dad asked me to get her one. I picked one up daintily, walked over to her with it on my open palms, placed it on the table next to her and said, "Here you go madam," with a fake British accent. She screamed, "I not your dumb! I no want you call me dumb! I not dumb!" So then my dad asked me if I had called her dumb and I said no, I had said madam. So my dad had to explain to her (from across the table) that I hadn't called her "my dumb", but I had called her "madam" which means lady. This misunderstanding cracked me up. If you don't think it's funny, I guess you had to be there to get it and think it was funny. There's another funny thing. My dog is an adopted dog and he may have been sarving at one point. This makes him eat anything and everything he finds. My sister likes to play with dried beans out of a big plastic box. Before dinner, my sister didn't put away her beans, so after I was done laughing about the madam incident, I walked into the kitchen and saw my dog eating the dried beans out of the box! On instinct I yelled out, "NO!". He ran away quickly as if he knew he was guilty and didn't want to get in trouble. It was really funny to see him eating the beans and then running away because he was caught red-handed! Or maybe I should say red-pawed. . .

Suckers

This is about candy suckers; not any other kind of suckers. I finished my dinner of shrimp soup and cabbage and now i am eating a sucker. It is my favorite kind. A strawberry blow-pop. I'm not supposed to eat the gum part of it, but you know what? I do anyway. So does everyone else with braces. But don't tell the orthodontist. They will get mad at you. And if you have braces, be careful with your gum. Anyway, about my sucker. I got it for selling more than five spaghetti dinner tickets. Actually I got a different kind and then traded with this girl because she didn't want strawberry. She is weird. You probably don't know what the spaghetti dinner is or what spaghetti dinner tickets are so I'll tell you. Kind of. It's a fund-raiser for the music program in our town. And we sold the most spaghetti dinner tickets so we get a pizza party and a recess. Yay seventh grade band! And I'm not talking about the band at the other middle school. I talking about the seveth grade band at our school. The cool one. No offense other school. They were so close to getting the party that we were afraid they had it! But we did it! Sorry about that. That was probably boring. I'm just excited about my new blog and I have nothing else to do. Except go read Twilight, which I might do after I'm done with this. Maybe. Any of you read it?

-Melissa
OMG, Sweetness Sarah person! I just realized that I have the same layout as you! I can't believe I didn't notice that before. Should I change it? Sorry everyone else who isn't Sarah.

I am done with my homework.

Wow. That's a really boring title. But who cares? I am new to this. I finished my homework in less than 10 minutes which is a record. I know it took less than 10 minutes because my computer like hibernates or something after 10 minutes and I came back here and it was dong the hibernating thing. when it hibernates, it has this weird bunny thing that zooms around the screen and says, "I am out right now" in this really weird robotic voice. You probably don't understand, do you?
